• Let's learn them one at a time, with different groups in the class taking responsibility for different parts of the arrangement...

The Verse

The Chorus

• Listen carefully to the drums, they will give us the 1___2___3 |1___2___3 |etc 'feel' we need.

• We are going to play three strums  - 2 longer strums and one short strum

• Apart from our three strum pattern, the chords are exactly the same as the verse! Bargain! 

• Take a listen to the excerpt above and play along to practise.

(Play the verse chord progression through once for the Chorus. Remember those three strums!)

The Middle 8

• The fingering is a little unusual - but it means that you only need to change one finger (the 'first') to change chord! Bargain again!

• Also, we're using the same 1___2___3 |1___2___3 |etc strumming pattern as in the chorus.
